How to Use This Book

The Sun and the Moon are the two lights in our solar system and they show the flow of energy that describes your growth pattern throughout your lifetime.

To get started, you will need to know your Sun and Moon signs from your Natal Birth Chart. (If you already know your Sun and Moon signs, you have what you need. If you don’t know your Sun and Moon signs, there are instructions on page 19 to obtain a FREE Natal Birth Chart.)

First, find your Sun sign in the list below. Your Sun Sign is based on the date of your birth. These dates may change slightly from year to year. If you were born on the first or last day of a sign, then you were born “on the cusp” and you will need to verify your Sun Sign.
Sun Signs

Aries: March 19th to April 19th

Taurus: April 19th to May 20th

Gemini: May 20th to June 20th

Cancer: June 20th to July 22nd

Leo: July 22nd to August 22nd

Virgo: August 22nd to September 22nd

Libra: September 22nd to October 22nd

Scorpio: October 22nd to November 21st

Sagittarius: November 21st to December 21st

Capricorn: December 21st to January 20th

Aquarius: January 20th to February 18th/19th

Pisces: February 19th to March 19th
To find your Moon Sign, you will need a copy of your birth chart. There are many ways to obtain a copy of the individual birth chart, also known as the natal horoscope.

The information needed to calculate the chart the birth date (day, month, year); the birth location (town/city/state/country, or longitude and latitude); and the birth time, which may be listed on your birth certificate. If the exact time is not known, it is important to inquire within the family to establish an approximate time frame of morning, afternoon, or evening.

If the information is not available, the chart should be calculated for a 12:00pm (noon) birth time. Also, knowing which part of the day that the birth occurred helps to establish the Moon sign accurately.

In years past, someone who had the reference books would have had to calculate the chart by hand. Times have changed; it is very easy to use the Internet to create an accurate birth chart when the correct birth data is available.
